imageData bolsters capacity with HP Indigo 100k

Print service provider imageData Group has invested in a new HP Indigo 100k digital press to increase its print capacity and reduce its carbon footprint.

The HP Indigo 100k digital press has been installed at imageData’s Willerby site

Installed at the company’s Willerby site, the press allows ImageData to print up to 6,000 variable B2 full colour sheets an hour, which the company says allows it to meet decreasing turnaround times.

ImageData also says the new machine will reduce its carbon footprint by offering low-environmental impact printing and reducing the need to travel between its network of sites for various finishes.

This, ImageData says, will in turn contribute to its overall faster turnaround times, as it means products can be printed, finished, packaged and delivered to customers all at one site.

Pete Shaw, production director for imageData, comments: “As a company we have been looking at the B2 digital market for many years.

As a company we have been looking at the B2 digital market for many years

“We now feel that with the quality and speed of print achievable on the 100K, it is the perfect time to invest in more energy efficient machinery that will not only help us to achieve our client’s needs, but to meet them in a more environmentally sustainable way.”

Dave Prezzano, managing director for the UK and Ireland at HP, adds: “I’m delighted to see imageData Group experiencing the multitude of benefits to digital printing with its new HP Indigo 100K digital press.

“In particular, how the new press has allowed imageData to reduce their carbon footprint by limiting the need to travel between production sites.

“All HP Indigo digital presses are designed with the environment in mind – as well as manufactured carbon neutral, they support eco-certified materials and offer reduced production waste and energy efficiency.”
